The Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) conducts various award programs across different scientific fields and career stages with the aim of promoting scientific excellence, supporting high-quality scholarly work, and recognizing outstanding scientists.
As the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Coordinatorship for Incentives and Awards, we encourage our academic staff to actively benefit from the award programs administered by TÜBA and attach great importance to keeping our academic community informed about current calls, application requirements, and relevant procedures.
The main award programs administered by TÜBA include:
The TÜBA International Academy Awards are presented to distinguished scientists who have made original, pioneering, and groundbreaking contributions in the fields of Science and Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, and Social Sciences and Humanities. Rather than individual applications, candidates are nominated by authorized institutions and organizations; university rectorates are among the institutions eligible to submit nominations.
The TÜBA-GEBİP Outstanding Young Scientist Awards aim to support young scientists who stand out through their outstanding scientific achievements and high-quality research. Under the 2026 program, award recipients are provided with annual financial support of TRY 250,000 for three years, along with additional support, subject to specified conditions, for graduate students, scientific meetings, and international academic activities.
The TÜBA-TESEP Scientific Textbook Awards aim to encourage the production of high-quality original scientific works in Turkish that can be used in higher education. For 2026, the Scientific Textbook Award was announced as TRY 150,000, while the Jury Special Award was set at TRY 100,000.
The TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards recognize original doctoral dissertations produced in Türkiye that are related to designated thematic areas. In 2026, dissertations were evaluated in the fields of Science and Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Basic Sciences. The awards were set at TRY 200,000 for first place, TRY 150,000 for second place, and TRY 100,000 for third place.
As the Coordinatorship for Incentives and Awards, we will continue to monitor current calls and announcements concerning TÜBA award programs and share relevant information with our academic staff in order to enhance the national and international visibility of the scientific achievements of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University academics.
